Lamia definitely needs to survive. Thus, I manipped it to be so. :D
Maybe her wound wasn't immediately fatal and she survived until he returned with the oil. Or maybe while they were at the loom no time passed in the Annex at all. No matter, my new headcanon is that Lamia is alive.
