Wang Yang has a proposal for Su Xiao.
When Shen Wei tells him that one of his powers allows him to transform his own body, Zhao Yunlan has a few ideas about how to use this power for good. And by good he means sex.
Pangzi comes over and stands in front of them, surveying them both, hands clasped behind his back.
“My friends,” he declaims. “Since we’re to be parted so soon—or some of us are, anyway—and we’re going into untold danger and mystery, and facing whatever the Zhangs left to fuck with intruders, which I bet is going to be good—”
Wu Xie coughs, pointedly.
“Fine, fine,” Pangzi says. “I got us something. Got you something, I mean. Not all of us are stingy gift-givers, ah, Tianzhen?”
OR
Five times Wu Xie and Xiaoge lost their gift from Pangzi and one time they gave him something in return.
Tianying and Luo Fusheng are happy together.
Unfortunately, Luo Fusheng just can't forget his ex-boyfriend: motorbike mechanic Bai Yu.
Chen Yiming wants Li Siyu back, but they have to work through a few of their differences first.
During their excursion into the mountains, Zhao Yunlan finally jumps on his chance to seduce Shen Wei. Little does he know that Shen Wei doesn't need to be seduced at all.
“Boss, wait –”
Hei Lao-ge, the post on Zhao Yunlan's Weibo reads, thankfully still sitting in his drafts, slide into my DMs if you’re watching.
Zhao Yunlan lowers his phone. “Seriously?”
“Before you delete it,” Da Qing says, not even looking remotely sorry, “I’m just trying to help you.”
“Help me,” Zhao Yunlan echoes in disbelief. “With what, exactly?”
“Scoring your internet crush!”
Wherein a second Chief Zhao arrives via wormhole just as the team summons Hei Pao Shi, and things get very, very confusing.

If Yunlan is going to learn how to make actual food that requires more effort than just boiling water and putting hot water into stuff, he’s going to have to take all the notes.
“Right,” he says to himself. “How hard can it be?”
He watches all twenty-two minutes and fourteen seconds of Chef Shen's video without fast-forwarding. When it comes to an end, he clicks on the replay button.
He ends up taking zero notes, and the only thing he manages to learn from the whole exercise is that Chef Shen -Shen Wei- is really fucking beautiful when he smiles.

Da Qing is looking for a mom wants to find a new lover for Zhao Yunlan, who is depressed after a bad break up.
Only Zhao Yunlan won’t cooperate, so what else is a cat to do but to matchmake?
It’s been three days since Zhao Yunlan was dumped and he’s still in an awful mood. Usually Da Qing would stay with him and snark at him until he snaps out of it, but Zhao Yunlan’s temper has been so bad that not even Da Qing can take it anymore.
After the first day Zhu Hong took leave because of “personal reasons” but Da Qing rather doubts that’s actually true. She probably didn’t have the patience to deal with their Chief throwing a tantrum, not that Da Qing can blame her.
Martin and David's first night.
He doesn’t stop talking during the walk to the door, nor while putting on his coat. He thanks me for dinner with the cutest smile. Before I can say, “I have to thank you for this wonderful night,” he segues right back into politics.
He’s so earnest and his eyes are so blue, sparkling under the stark hall light. All I can think is that he’s about to leave, and it makes my chest hurt. Before he can slip through my fingers, I lean in and kiss him. There’s no finesse to it, I just can’t think of anything else to do. I don’t even care that I’m interrupting his argument on corporate taxes.
The one where Shen Wei is a Chinese opera performer and Zhao Yunlan is a smitten factory worker from the countryside.
When he runs into him at the baths, purely by chance, the first thing Shen Wei notices about him is how gracefully he moves, and he tells himself not to stare. But Shen Wei is alone in the dark doorway leading from the showers to the pools—all the other bathers have come earlier than Shen Wei—so there’s nobody to see him, and he can’t quite restrain himself.
Remix of the first three chapters of mabyn's 'The Singer' from Shen Wei's POV.
Shen Wei hasn't been home in three days, and Zhao Yunlan wants to know why.
He’s pounding away into Shen Wei, who is on his hands and knees, pushing back wantonly every time Zhao Yunlan pushes forward. Sweat is dripping into his eyes, and the bed is creaking, and the rhythm is perfect. Shen Wei is making the most wonderful noises, loud in his ears even through the sound of his own gasping breaths. Zhao Yunlan bites his lip, trying to hold out just a little longer.
Suddenly Shen Wei tenses and shouts, “Wings! Wings!”

“Luo Fusheng, please take my flower.”
This is probably not what Luo Fusheng meant when he told Tian Ying that she could come to him for help anytime.
